| The Gastro bar and grill is a large red brick public house beside Downholland Bridge #20A. Dating from 1899. It has a large beer garden to at the back which goes down to the canal. Although it might be more of a place to go for a meal it also has some real ales at the bar. The Gastro has "a varied and exciting menu, packed with locally sourced produce" Formerly the Scarisbrick Arms. | |||

This has been re-opened. It is now a gastro pub. Lunch menu was 2 courses £10, or a choice of light snacks £5. |
Delicious food shame about the kids and noise pretty cold from kids running in and out of door in some parts too. Will not return . |
Nice beer garden at the back and the pub was very clean. Little lacking in character. |
