Beeston Iron Lock is strikingly different to other stone or brick locks. Its iron clad sides make it look every bit the product of the Industrial Revolution. It was rebuilt after running sand caused it to collapse. The iron sides are based on the technology used to build the aqueducts on the Llangollen Canal.
